ASE Audiology is a family run, independent service specialising in paediatric hearing assessment and management.

Based at Spire Manchester Hospital in Didsbury, and with over 15 years’ experience, we specialise in hearing tests and hearing aids in all age groups of children from age 1 and upwards.

At ASE Audiology, we understand that your children are your world, that’s why we ensure that we provide specialised, child friendly hearing assessment, to make sure that their hearing doesn’t hold them back.

We also work with a wide range of other specialities including Ear Nose and Throat, Speech and Language Therapy, Paediatric Specialists and Educational Psychology to ensure that we can provide a complete service for the needs of you or your child.

We also provide assessment and management for adults with hearing loss.

Adam was amazing with my little boy. He really took his time to make my son feel comfortable and he thoroughly explained the process to me and my husband throughout the examination. I was shocked to see my son so calm as he normally very nervous at these sort of appointments, but it just shows how much patience and care Adam puts into his patients.

I brought my 2 year old to see Adam after being told my son’s follow up appointment from the NHS was going to take 6+ months. My son is not the most engaging child and struggles with socialisation. However, Adam showed great patience and was able to complete an effective assessment within an appropriate amount of time by using his calm and fun clinical skills. I was impressed and happy with the assessment completed and outcome. Everything was explained clearly and concisely which was great. I would definitely recommend Adam for paediatric hearing tests.

My 3.5 yr old started mishearing words. As he starts school in 6 months, I wanted to check that it was just the effects of the series of winter colds he has caught, and not anything underlying that we needed to address. We went to see Adam who was very personable and professional. He carried out a series of tests - obviously presented as games - and a thorough examination of my sons ears. He was very thorough in his evaluation. Thankfully my son is just recovering from some pressure in his ears, so nothing more to address. Adam gave me lots of information and explained everything thoroughly. I am really glad that my son had this assessment, as it has put my mind at rest and has given me a professional specialist assurance with regards to my son's hearing. Thank you Adam.

We brought our 19 month old to Adam for a hearing test due to glue ear and he was absolutely wonderful. He played with our little boy and made the process so easy for us all. I would definately reccomend him for anyone needing an audiology test, particularly for young children.

This was a very efficient and effective hearing assessment for my 20 month old son. Adam used toys to hold the attention of my son and then used speakers to play sounds of different volumes and frequencies to draw his attention to some other interesting toys in a box across the room and next to the speakers. As the sounds got progressively quieter, it was great to see that my son would still hear them and look over to the toys by the speaker each time - giving comfort that he was picking up the sound. Adam was great with my son and ensured he was entertained and comfortable throughout. I would recommend this for anyone who has concerns that their child’s hearing could be impaired.
